What Matters

Sometimes I feel like this flower in the picture. Part of me is in the light and part of me is in the dark. This week I have felt in the dark. I think because I have Covid I’m feeling a little melancholy, but God’s light can bring me into full bloom! I was not going to post this week, but I woke with this poem. God did not give me Covid, but He still uses my circumstances to teach me. Be still…Slow down…Seek God…. Thank you God!

Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. Psalm 46:10.

At times I feel my life
Is moving so very fast
As if I’m running out of time
And my days left will not last

So I grasp quickly and hold
Onto every single fleeting moment
Knowing all the while
I don’t have any control of it

I find that when I slow down
And take time to seek my Father
He reassures me He is in control
And isn’t that all that matters
