Temper

Those who guard their mouths and their tongues keep themselves from calamity. Proverbs 21:23

Father help me adequately

Temper my attitude

Help me diffuse anger

When someone wants to be rude

Lord help me hold my tongue

When I really want to respond

Giving me patience and wisdom

So that you can make them calm

Give me the right words

To reflect Your love and grace

Helping them forget their anger

And seeing Your face
