Matthew 4:4 encouraged me today because this is where God spoke to Satan when he was trying to tempt him. Even though God was God, He was also man. He was coming out of 40 days in the desert and His flesh was weak. Still He was not tempted. This gives me hope and reminds me why I rise every morning. For Jesus, not the world !
Jesus answered, “It is written, Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:4
You are my life Lord
Though at times I forget
You are the reason
To leave my bed
You tell me I cannot live
On bread alone
I need Your word
To keep me strong
You are my eternal hope
For earthly things will pass
And only You can bring
A peace unsurpassed
You are my only King
Who can give my soul its desire
You lift me everyday
And set my heart on fire
