Be Humble

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that He may lift you up in good time.

1 Peter 5:6

Our Lord tells us to be humble

This world we live in says no

This world says we should be self-sufficient

And only our achievements show

God says if we humble ourselves

That He will lift us up in due time

I know I cannot survive on my own

I need Him to get through my daily climb

Father when I am not showing humility

I pray You will always remind me

To kneel before You and pray

To release this sin that binds me
